Community Friends Church

Text Box: Celebrating over 119 years of ministry in Sherwood, Oregon

Walk with the Spirit

For 50 days we will be focusing on listening to God’s call to physical, mental, social, spiritual, fiscal and health. We hope to “walk around the world” between Easter and Pentecost.  This holistic approach is open to everyone of any age or ability. Each week you will keep track of your “fitness miles” for your physical, spiritual, social, mental and fiscal health. Build community together as we plot these miles on the world and pray for our missionary representatives.  Help contribute to and raise funds to purchase two automated defibulator devices for our church.  Turn your good habits into God habits.

Friends Women

May 26 will be our last get-together until our August meeting at the end of the summer. Everyone is invited to come to the Media Center, at 7 pm. Also, ladies, don’t forget to purchase your NWYM Friends Women’s Banquet reservation before July 7 for $10.

The Azusa University Players will be presenting, Joe, an outstanding program at our church on Saturday evening, June 28, at 7 pm. Written by Brian Mercer, Joe follows the life story of an average Christian man as he struggles through the trials, tribulations, and joys of life. Described as a “romantic comedy version of the book
of Job,” this witty, moving, and thought
-provoking play
brought audiences to their feet when first produced in 2003. Back by popular demand, Joe will reach all ages with its life changing message of the value and dignity of the average person. Watch for more news regarding this event. Also, please consider being a host home for that evening.
